His refined yet casual approach to clothing earned Jones two Menswear Designer of the Year awards along the way from the British Fashion Council – before being hired to inject some modernity into Dunhill as its creative director in 2008 and then joining the Vuitton gang.

He kept it casual and cool and tapped into the fashion house’s travel heritage with sailor and safari looks that had a preppy signature to them.

Blazers, shirts and ties were yacht club appropriate – and drew on a palette of red, white and blue - and huge holdalls indicative of intrepid travels.

Bomber and varsity styles of jacket were prominent here too – but given Jones’ cool edge with scarves tightly twisted and then looped around the neck. The other big story here was checks – in blue and red on scarves and shirts, T-shirts and shorts.
