LA Auto Show

The Show opened to the public on November 18 at the Los Angeles Convention Centre. Since organisers moved up the 100 year-old show’s schedule from winter to late autumn in 2006, LA’s prominence has greatly risen, marking the beginning of auto show season for the industry.

This year, LA also came on strongly as the place to reveal luxury and premium vehicles. Of the 50-plus vehicle debuts at this years Show, more than half were in the performance and luxury vehicle category.

Highlights included BMW’s i3 and i8 electric and hybrid concepts; the Croatian DOK-ING XD; the Audi R8 GT Spyder; the Porsche 911 Carrera; the Jaguar C-X16 concept; the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster; and the Land Rover DC100 and DC100 Sport concepts.

The 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show will run until November 27, 2011.
