Ferrari Opus Launch

Launched at the Melbourne Grand Prix earlier this year, the Official Ferrari Opus is the ultimate history of the legendary super car company and the most successful team in Formula One, but priced at $270,000 for the top of the range diamond-encrusted edition and an still impressive $3520 for the Classic Edition, it is well beyond many Ferrari fans.

However, the publishers have come to the rescue for Ferrari fanatics who wish to own the ultimate history of the company and the motorsport team with the launch of three virtual editions, an iPhone/iTouch App, an iPad App and an E-book.

The iPad versions contains more than 400 pages of content with more than 1000 photographs, all reproduced in high resolution, there are video clips and it has been designed to maximise the intuitive technology of the iPad to make navigation, zooming in and out for detail and bookmarking easy.

The iPad edition includes

•    A biography of Enzo Ferrari by one of the men closest to him

•    Details and pictures of every car that Ferrari has ever produced
•    Behind the scenes at a Grand Prix to see how the Ferrari team operates
•    Every driver who has driven for Ferrari profiled and with comments by Piero and Enzo Ferrari
•    How the road cars are produced – a guided tour by Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa and legendary engineer Mauro Forghieri
•    Photographer Rankin provides unique pictures of the 1961 Ferrari 250 California
•    A profile of the fans who follow Ferrari worldwide, in its biggest market, the USA, and its fastest growing market, China.
•    Profiles of Ferrari commercial and industrial partners.
