To get to Marsa Matrouh from Cairo you can easily book a flight during the high season from May until about August. This will set you back about $100. If you want to see more of the country and love a road trip then renting a car or bus is the best. Cars with drivers are readily available in Cairo. Air-conditioned minivans can be rented for the trip and follow strict traveling rules. Public transportation is not the best idea as it can be a bit scary for a tourist. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the sun.Even if the weather is warm there is always a breeze that will cool you off. If that doesn't work, then the crisp, clean water will. Since the beach is part of the hotel, staff members patrol the boundries and keep out the public. This results in a stress free day at the beach.

When you have had enough sun prepare for the best seafood meal that you have ever had. The fish and other items are fresh from the water. The shrimp you order are four inches long and two inches thick. They are a meal unto themselves.

To walk off your meal head over to the Lybian Market. Here you find an open air market that has name brand products for a small price. Adidas flats for $15 and Dove make-up for $4. You can buy bags, sports wear and coats too.

Without a doubt, the best place to visit is Cleopatra's shower. The water is shallow enough that you can walk to this natural stone bathing area. The books tell of Cleopatra going to there to shower with her maids around to watch for intruders.

Marsa Matrouh offers you a wonderful chance to escape the intrusive , busy world. There you are able to relax, enjoy and imagine a city of love and beauty.
